DOMINIQUE LACERTE
Dominique’s addiction to dance was formed in 2001 when he was introduced to Swing. What followed was a whirlwind year of Ballroom classes with barely enough time between them to eat and sleep! In 2002 he performed Lindy with the Pacific Fleet Feet intermediate dance team and placed third in his first East Coast Swing competition. During this time he was drawn to the sensuality of Latin dance and in 2003 joined the traditional Cuban dance team Salsa Moderna with whom he took part in the Vancouver Rueda de Casino competition. In 2004 he expanded into more modern styles by performing at the Vancouver Salsa Congress with the Martinez Dance Company. In early 2005 Dominique took his first step towards international performance by joining the touring group
¡SALSA CALIENTE! for performances in Puerto Rico, the Bahamas and New York. Dominique concludes "I am moved by dance and by the ability to move others through dance."

ERICA HORSFIELD
Erica has always loved to dance but her passion for Latin culture began in 2005 when she moved to Argentina. While she was there, she spent all of her free time outside of school studying Argentine Tango. Upon her return, she joined the Uvic/Camoson Ballroom dance club in hopes of continuing her study of Tango, but after one beginner Salsa class she knew that salsa was for her, and began taking lessons in October 2006. Erica loves to perform and has been synchronized swimming since 1997, competing all over Canada. “When I found out that
¡SALSA CALIENTE! is a dance team that travels and performs internationally it seemed like a dream; and from then on it was my goal to make the cut. “ Erica is thrilled to be a member of ¡SALSA CALIENTE! for the second year in a row, and is eager to increase her dancing level and experience."

HOLLY HARRIS
Holly has been dancing all her life, starting with Ballet from age 4 to 11 and then on to Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Flamenco and Modern. In high school she taught dance classes to students and teachers, and was also part of a traveling workshop that combined drama and dance. She has also performed at dance festivals all over Victoria. "I discovered Salsa when I was 15 and have been hooked on it ever since. Dancing is my love, and my natural high."

LIAM ANDERSON
Liam has been dancing Salsa since 2006.  He was first "dragged" out to a Salsa lesson by a friend, only to discover a passion for the music and the dance.  Liam was a member of the
¡SALSA CALIENTE! Training Team for one year, and is really excited to be able to perform with the Touring Team.  "I can't wait to continue to improve my Salsa and to experience Salsa around the world!"

NICOLE MICHEL
After taking a single Salsa class when she was living in Prince George, Nicole was eager to learn more. She started taking regular dance classes in 2006 when she moved to Victoria and has not stopped! In 2007 Nicole was a part of the
¡SALSA CALIENTE! Local Performance Team and is now loving her role in the Training Team. “I am excited about the thought of being able to do multiple things that I love at the same time – travel, dance and meet fantastic people!”
